Effective date: January 15, 2026. This policy describes how KukuBuy ("we", "us") handles your information.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Order information: name, email address, phone number (optional), shipping address, order contents and order history.
  • Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment provider; we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits of the card — never the full card number or CVC, and we do not store card data on our servers.
  • Contact and support: any messages you send us through our contact form, email or order correspondence.
  • Newsletter: the email address you subscribe with.

We also collect limited technical data automatically when you browse (pages visited, device type, approximate location derived from IP) to keep the site secure and improve it.

2. How we use your information

  • Process and deliver your orders, including shipping confirmation and tracking emails
  • Respond to your questions and provide warranty and return support
  • Send promotional emails — only if you subscribed, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe
  • Prevent fraud, and comply with tax and consumer-protection laws

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Who we share it with

  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — name, address and phone, to deliver your order
  • Payment processors — to charge your chosen payment method securely
  • Service providers such as our email and hosting platforms, contractually limited to processing data on our behalf

4. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to remember your shopping cart, wishlist and checkout progress. These are required for the store to function. Optional analytics help us understand which pages are useful; you can block non-essential cookies in your browser settings without breaking the store.

5. Data retention

Order records are retained as long as needed to provide warranty support and satisfy tax and accounting requirements (typically 7 years). Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for up to 3 years.

6. Your rights

You may request at any time to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of marketing emails (one click in any email, or email us)

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.

7. Data security

All traffic to this site is encrypted with 256-bit SSL. Payment data is handled entirely by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. Access to customer data within our team is limited to those who need it to serve you.

8. Children's privacy

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
